Easy Overnight Oats

This is our favourite overnight oats recipe, made with just four substances and a hint of vanilla. This easy overnight oatmeal is a healthy breakfast that you may make in advance for busy mornings.

Overnight oats are a staple in our residence, and whilst I love trying out extraordinary flavor variations, this recipe is our pass-to favored. Because it’s miles THE BEST and THE EASIEST. And whilst it’s 10pm and we’re exhausted from the day, we need smooth, proper?

If you already know me nicely, then you definately understand that oatmeal is certainly one of my favourite breakfasts. At least once per week you’ll find me creating a batch of Instant Pot steel cut oats for us to devour during the week. And this strawberry banana baked oatmeal is a kid-friendly breakfast that’s ideal for clean berry season.

If make-ahead grab and go breakfasts are your aspect, then you have to do that fundamental in a single day oats recipe. I’ve most effective made this recipe approximately 100 times. Really!

Overnight oats are the best wholesome make-beforehand breakfast! Here are 4 clean, scrumptious recipe variations to maintain you from getting stuck in a breakfast rut.


  • ⅓ cup or ⅓ cup old-fashioned oats plus ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • ½ cup milk of choice for a very thick consistency, or up to ⅔ cup milk for a lighter consistency

  • ½ cup fruit (I like fresh or frozen blueberries or raspberries, or sliced fresh strawberries)

  • 1 tablespoon 

  • 1 tablespoon almond butter or peanut butter

  • Drizzle of maple syrup or honey, if desired


  • In a jar or bowl ( or 1-pint mason jar is perfect), combine the muesli (or old-fashioned oats and cinnamon), chia seeds and nut butter. Add a splash of the milk and mix the nut butter into the oats. Then add the rest of the milk and stir to combine.
  • Top with your fruit of choice. (If you used more milk than ½ cup and you want your fruit to stay on top, wait to top the oats until you’re ready to serve. If you’re using fruit that doesn’t store well, like sliced apple or banana, wait to top the oats until you’re ready to serve.)
  • Place the lid on the jar and refrigerate overnight, or up to 5 days. When you’re ready to serve, add a drizzle of maple syrup or honey if you’d like, and enjoy chilled.
